FAQs ABOUT THE DORM EXPERIENCE

We have found that Trip Advisor is a great resource for comparing rates and availability for area hotels. You can visit them here.
Some hotels that GIV families have stayed at before include those listed below. All of these hotels come up when you search "Northampton, MA Hotels" through google, or using Trip Advisor:
- The D. Hotel & Spa - Host Hotel
- Quality Inn & Suites (very reasonable rates - located a mile or so from campus)
- Fairfield Inn & Suites (a little pricier, with good reviews - located a mile or so from campus)
- The Autumn Inn (a B&B very close to campus)
- The Hotel Northampton (a downtown landmark hotel, close to everything)
- Hampton Inn & Suites (located just across the bridge in Hadley - a short drive)
There are many more options available that are easily searchable online. If you have questions about a particular hotel, we'll try to give you our impression about location and convenience, but we don't make specific recommendations. Every family's needs and preferences are different. Some want a pool, others want breakfast included, etc. Each hotel should list these types of amenities on Trip Advisor so you can more easily compare options. Also, search www.vrbo.com for homes that are for rent in the local area if you are looking to stay for the whole week. There are also a few B&B's in the area. Plenty of options that are close to the Williston Northampton Campus.
